Setting up Sam Broadcaster
This guide assumes you are using SAM v4.0 or later and the default Desktop layout. If you have customized the layout, the windows may be in diffrent locations.
1. After running SAM broadcaster change to 'Desktop B'.
2. In the Encoders window, press the '+' Icon to add a new encoder.
3. Select 'MP3 (Normal)' as the plugin and click OK.
4. Change the Format to '192kb/s, 44.1kHz, Stereo' Leave everything else on this tab as default.
5. Click on the Server Details Tab.
6. Leave the Server Type as 'Shoutcast'. In the 'Server IP' box put the hostname from your account notecard.
In the 'Server Port' box enter the port from your notecard.
In the 'Password' box enter the first password from your notcard, be careful not to accidently enter your admin password.
The 'Station Details' area does not affect the function of your stream and is purely informational, so you can put whatever you wish in there.
Click OK to return to Desktop B.
Now you are back to the Desktop B, highlight your newly created Encoder and click the play icon. If all goes well the Status should change to Encoding
7. Now you can Go Back to Desktop A and play some tunes!
